Jim Hendricks
Director of Performance Training
Jim began performance coaching at the early age of 17. His first work was speed and strength coaching with the Junior Olympic and U.S. Olympic Developmental programs. Following an extended stint as a strength and conditioning and speed specialist with the United States Olympic Committee, Jim developed a life-long passion for speed, agility, and strength conditioning training.
Jim received a B.S. in Kinesiology and Biochemistry from the University of Colorado. Through his college years Jim was an accomplished multi-sport athlete, while maintaining a GPA worthy of the Dean’s List. He was named the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternities Athlete of the Year from 2001-2002 and was honored to be a multi-sport letterman.
Jim’s performance coaching experience includes work with multiple professional athletes, Olympic athletes, NCAA All Americans, and younger athletes at various levels. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), USA Track and Field (USATF), and USA Weightlifting (USW) Certified.
Prior to joining House of Speed, Jim was the Director of Fitness for a commercial health club, and ran an independently owned strength and performance program. Jim has authored numerous articles and reports on speed and strength development.
Jim truly believes that God has called him to impact lives though the development of athletic potential and personal character. “Sports and training can teach one as much about themselves and their character as any other facet of life. I am confident that we will always improve our athlete’s speed, agility, and performance. My real goal is to impact them as people and help guide their character and work ethic.”
Jim is an avid volunteer with Cherry Hills Community Church, the Special Olympics, and many local youth sports organizations. He resides in Littleton, Colorado, where he has lived his whole life.

William Won-Sik Choi, MD, FRCSC
Board-Certified, Double, Fellowship-Trained Neurosurgeon
Our surgeon, Dr. William Choi, received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal Canada. He then finished his neurosurgical residency at Montreal Neurological Institute, where after completing his training; he was awarded the prestigious Penfield Award for Excellence in Neurosurgery. Following his residency, he pursued further specialization in spine surgery through two complex spine clinical/research fellowships at UCLA and the University of Miami. Concluding his fellowships Dr. Choi moved to Colorado to direct the multidisciplinary spine surgery program at the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH). Within two years the UCH program became one of the top referral centers in the region.
Dr. Choi began his current practice at Sky Ridge Medical Center (SRMC) when the hospital opened in 2003. He moved to SRMC with the hopes of providing state of the art neurosurgical care to the South Denver area. Presently, as the chief of neurosurgery, he is the leading neurosurgeon at SRMC. He led the way in establishing SRMC Spine Program into one of the biggest and busiest centers in the region. Currently more spine surgeries are performed at SRMC than any other hospital in the entire Rocky Mountain States.
Dr. Choi specializes in complex spine surgeries, including: degenerative disease, tumors, trauma, and revision surgeries from previously failed procedures. He is an expert in 3D-navigation and robot-assisted surgery.
He often travels both nationally and internationally to teach other spine surgeons in this rapidly developing field. He is also still active in teaching residents through their rotation at SRMC.
In his time off, he enjoys spending time with his family. A favorite activity of his is practicing Tae Kwon Do and skiing with his family. All four of his children are either black-belt or black-belt candidates.

Tom Noonan, MD:
Colorado Rockies Team Physician
Dr. Noonan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton University, where he played football and majored in Civil Engineering and Operations Research. He then attended the Duke University School of Medicine where he was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He stayed at Duke University for his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training and then performed a Sports Medicine fellowship at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
Dr. Noonan joined the Steadman Hawkins Clinic Denver in January of 2001 and specializes in treatment of shoulder, elbow, and knee disorders. He also is skilled in the evaluation of general orthopaedic problems such as fractures and ankle sprains. He serves as the Medical Director for the Colorado Rockies major league baseball team. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Noonan and his wife live in Denver with their two daughters. They enjoy skiing, hiking, tennis, and biking in their spare time.

Dr. John Shank
Consultant for the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Dr. Shank earned his undergraduate degree at Xavier Univerisity and his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Colorado. Thereafter Dr. Shank completed two fellowships, the first in Foot & Ankle reconstruction at Harvorview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, the second in sports medicine at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. Dr. Shank’s areas of interest include complex lower extremity fracture care, ankle arthroscopy, periarticular osteotomies, lower extremity reconstruction and total ankle arthroplasty. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Shank has presented at numerous conferences.
Dr. Shank serves as a consultant for the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
